Hi! My name is Aundrea, and I am the dreamer and creator behind Wren & Willow Farm. My husband, Keaton, is the practical, detail-oriented one. He helps with the heavy lifting tasks around the garden, as well as making sure that my dreams are able to touch the proverbial ground.
I dreamed of being a flower farmer for three primary reasons:
1) I love having the ability to create in this world. It's nothing short of a miracle to witness the way a tiny seed can sprout into a large plant with exquisite focal points.
2) Flowers encourage us to appreciate the beauty in the cycle of life at all its stages. While we may notice the allure in particular when the flowers are in full bloom, they are also awe-inspiring at the end of their cycle. Seed pods provide sustenance for insects and birds, and they store the possibility of new life in the coming year.
3) I love arranging unique bouquets that are filled with vibrant colors. These arrangements bring joy to people's lives, and they also remind us of the beauty associated with diversity.
We started out with a dream of richly colored, bountiful arrangements and a few packets of seeds. The only problem? We had no where to plant all the beautiful flowers I had envisioned! Thankfully, we've had a couple of good friends who allowed us to use their properties over the last 5 years. And in 2024, we were finally able to purchase our own land! This means that in 2026, our flower garden will finally be located at its permanent location on our property. Not only will this be more convenient for us, but it will also allow us to expand our produce and event offerings.
We sell our flowers at the downtown Des Moines farmer's market, wholesale to florists, CSA subscriptions, and online orders. It has only been 5 years on this journey, and we are excited to see the additional ways we can grow our business and immerse more people in beautiful floral arrangements.

Our mission is to bring the beauty of nature into every home, connect with the earth through sustainable farming practices, and encourage people to embrace the small joys in life.
We believe that as growers, no matter how big or small the space is, we have a responsibility to care for the earth to the best of our ability. This means we nurture the soil and all the tiny microorganisms that work together to make it a healthy environment for each of the inhabitants. After all, healthy soil creates healthy plants! We strive to bring the most robust, gorgeous flowers to our customers. In order to do so, we harvest them at just the right time so you can enjoy them in your home for as long as possible.
We hope that our flowers will bring you joy! Remember to look for beauty in every stage of a flower's life, as well as within each season of the year.

Currently, as we enter the winter season, the plants and flowers are resting, reminding us that we also need a season of rest. This section will be updated when they start blooming in the spring.
No current upcoming events at the moment. We hope you are enjoying the holiday season with your loved ones! This section will be updated with event dates closer to the beginning of the next growing season.
